Nik will talk about the collection of iwi affiliation data as part of the 2024 civil registration system.

You’ll hear about:

  • lessons learned so far — focused on co-design and joint-governance arrangements
  • workstreams created to move this mahi forward
  • te pou (the pillars) being developed by Te Kāhui Tātai Tupuna — members of iwi and Māori entities, co-chaired by Kirikowhai Mikaere and the Registrar-General.
