About GDAF
GDAF was launched on Global Accessibility Awareness Day .
The forum is a free online event that brings together government organisations to share their experiences and insights about creating an accessible digital public service that disabled people can use.
The goal of GDAF is to create a space for public servants to share their ideas for advancing the accessibility of public information and services in New Zealand.
Highlights from last year’s event
Last year, speakers from the Department of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Social Development shared updates about progress in digital accessibility and the challenges that disabled people face.
These talks were followed by a panel discussion featuring digital accessibility specialists with lived experience covering:
- artificial intelligence and accessibility
- challenges and opportunities in creating accessible digital workplaces
- how organisations can work together for collective impact.
