Come along to the National Library in Wellington next Monday to hear what I learned attending the 31st Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference in San Diego.
Run by the California State University Northridge (CSUN) Center on Disabilities, the conference is the leading international forum for researchers, practitioners, exhibitors, end users, speakers and others to share knowledge and best practices in the field of accessibility and technology.
From 21–26 March, I had the great fortune to take part in and speak at CSUN. On Monday, 11 April, I’ll give a short presentation on some of the highlights from the sessions I attended, including:
- ways to test the accessibility of mobile websites and apps
- converting PDFs to accessible HTML
- what the French and Chinese governments are doing to make their websites accessible
- how to procure accessible software
- recent developments in addressing cognitive accessibility
- Stevie Wonder
- and more.
